Let the Games Begin!

Yes, the kids have been in school for over three weeks, my daughters done with her jobs, and I am  finally starting to settle in to a routine (WHEW!).  Now I can get to the tasks I have set for myself.  Actually I set these tasks about two years ago, but I've been given an ultimatum...if we cant get both cars in the garage this winter...my junk goes or my husband goes!  As I love (LOVE) my husband, and he's been so patient with me and my hobbies, its finally time to clean out the garage!!  I don't mean 'clean' as in sweep, dust, etc... I mean 'clean' as in furniture makeovers!  Here are some 'before' photos...

DISCLAIMER:  these photos are not for the faint hearted!  If you have a history of shortness of breath, cardiac irregularities, or obsessive compulsive cleaning disorder, please turn away...

YES, THE TOMB STONES ARE TO SET THE MOOD... Its a dark tomb where good furniture goes to die...

BEWARE, HERE'S WHERE IT GETS REALLY NASTY!!!
YES THOSE ARE SPIDER EGG SACKS!!!
SPIDER WEBS, DUST, GOOK, GENERAL NASTY STUFF!!!  Luckily no rodents in my garage!!!  So its just spider nasty things to deal with! I got sooooo itchy cleaning these pieces!

Did you keep track?  Did you count all my projects? Seven pieces of furniture in all!

Plus, a door (well, there are a few doors but only the red door to paint) which I want to paint white!  Thats such an amazing door!  Its an old apartment door which I bought for my garage, but two things happened.
1)  My *@#$ing contractor shaved the top of the glass insert off to make the door fit into the door frame he bought, compromising the structural integrity/strength of the door...maybe he should have shortened the bottom????
2)  The wind kept whipping it open as it wasn't heavy enough to handle the wind.  Our garage is quite exposed.
So, off it came, and anyway, is far to lovely to waste on a garage!  This baby is coming inside!

Sooooo keep tuned to my progress in my attempt to save my marriage!!

Back to the garage for me, but first...(as we Canadians say...)Its Timmy Time!!  (coffee....)

Have a great day!!
